Basalt 

Sourced primarily from the vast Miocene basalt flows in northern and eastern Jordan, Jordanian basalt is incredibly dense, hard, and resistant to chemical attacks and weathering.

  • Aesthetics: Deep gray to black, supporting modern, minimalist architectural designs.

  • Best Uses: High-traffic outdoor paving, landscaping, structural wall cladding, pool copings, and industrial flooring.

  • Characteristics: Extremely high density (approx. 2.5 to 2.9 g/cm³); Hardness of 6-7 on the Mohs scale; Uniaxial Compressive Strength (UCS) frequently exceeding 100 MPa; exceptionally low water absorption.
